When considering new suppliers, we look to see if the supplier offers at least minimum wages, a safe environment
and the opportunity to voice worker concerns. Our intention is to work with people that are also striving to improve
personal, social, and ecological well-being. We make efforts to ensure that our products are manufactured in the
most socially responsible manner possible. We request documentation from garment manufacturers that human rights violations
are not committed in the production of their products and that the workers are fairly paid and have decent working conditions.
We currently source garments from:
Maggie's -
a long-time leader in implementing fair labor practices throughout its supply chain and sources and produces organic
cotton in Nicaragua.
Bella Organic - sources and produces organic cotton in US.
Anvil - sources organic cotton in US and produces in Honduras. Their Anvil facility is WRAP certified
and is currently working towards SA8000 certification.
The Positive Energy Company is committed to verify with
our current vendors on a yearly basis to ensure that they are maintaining Fair Labor Practices and to follow up with
their organic and Fair Labor certifications.
